In the past year, more than 1000 families facing real financial crisis because of unemployment, marriage or family breakdowns or other personal difficulties, have come to Harvest Rain seeking our help. We have been blessed to share God's love with them.
In addition to giving tangible emergency relief, such as food hampers or clothing and personal counseling and budgeting advice, since July 2002 Harvest Rain has received funding from the Department of Family & Community services to provide grocery vouchers and provide direct financial help with electricity, gas, telephone and house rental debts.
23 years on, the vision God first placed in the heart of Harvest Rain founder, Church of Christ pastor Jeff Ramsey in 1986, is still reaching te people of Ipswich with the gospel message and the love of Jesus.
